utter humiliation

last night i went to get weighed and measured for my evening fitness class.  i'm SO terribly ashamed to admit that i have gained 22lbs since february of 2009.  to me that is SICK.  of course that is not necessarily an accurate measure, as i was on a different scale and the last 2 weeks of february i was on a restrictive diet of chicken and rice, but let's just say i wasnt...it still means that i have put on close to 20lbs in 10 months.  that is absolutely disgusting!!

it just goes to show you that it doesnt matter ONE IOTA if you go to the gym five days a week...it's what you put in your mouth that matters.  i know i drank and ate without abandon all year long.  i have to say that i probably had it coming, but i didnt expect it to be THAT much of a gain.  yes, i have clothes that dont fit properly, but to gain THAT much???  that's surreal to me.  i never wanted to be that big again, and apparently i am.  fuck.

i'm still hitting the gym 4 nights a week at janine's and have scaled back the am classes to 3 x/week.  i'm not doing 5 days of 6ams anymore.  it basically means i'm doing 7 classes a week, three of which i enjoy immensely.  the difference is that i'm quitting drinking and eating like it's the end of the world.

i'll be weighing and measuring myself in a month's time...let's hope the numbers reveal positives for the sacrifices.
