call me a cynic, but i really believed it was tasha's turn to leave this mortal coil and not sid's. tasha is 16 and is looking old and has acted old for quite some time.
dont get me wrong, i'm not wishing her ill will by any means, i just guess i expected her to go first and then i'd have a few precious years with sid. i always counted on that and hoped that her personality would change and we'd be friends. as i've said countless times, she was never overly affectionate and needed me only when she was hungry. i know that the last month of her life she showed me her true feelings and i love her deeply for that, but i guess i was hoping for more time. dont we all?
i'm quite superstitions and a pessimist. i got tasha in 1994 from the humane society in yyc. she was my cat for approximately 6 months before i got sid.
is it wrong of me to think that she will give me another six months before she passes? because that's what i'm guessing....
god, i'm so negative...paranoid.
