fitness plans
janine has decided to up her rates from $160 for four months to $125 for 2 months. it makes no sense. it's a 150% increase.
and what she has is nothing...all she has is 7lb weights and elastics. there arent proper mats, no steps, nor any other choice of weights unless you want to bring your own.
when you do the math and extrapolate, that's $750 per year for a basic place with dirty grey carpet underfoot. back in the old studio, i paid $600 +gst and at least had a variety of classes to choose from, as well as weights, mats, and steps. for $432 +gst i can join the Y and get more than all of that put together.
i was looking on line today at the Y and examining classes. they have quite a few that i know would be good...add in yoga and occasional running and biking and i should be good to go...oh and free weights on my own, which is no big deal...
unfortunately i wont renew at janine's place. i do love her style of teaching and the attention she pays to us, but i cant justify the money when i know there is better value out there.
so i'm going to go back to the nameless faceless gym and start at ground 0...i hate change, but i know it's for the best.
fitness is all changing again starting may 1.
